Exploring Bourbon
All Bourbon Is Whiskey, but Not All Whiskey Is Bourbon

Some of My Favorite Bourbons! (in no particular order)

Best for Beginners: Buffalo Trace
For a newbie who wants to experiment with bourbon, Buffalo Trace is a good, strong introduction. The bourbon is soft on the palate with a creamed corn taste profile and a gentle sweetness. The finish is tangy and offers a medium spice note.
My Favorite Kentucky Bourbon: Woodford Reserve
Aged in two different barrels, resulting in a deeply flavorful whiskey. The palate begins with strong notes of varnish, oak, alcohol heat, but gives way to charred orange, brown sugar, and dried fruits. The finish is long and brings back the astringent notes on the nose.

Personal Favorite for Old Fashioned Cocktail: Bulleit Bourbon
If you like your Old Fashioned spicy, with loads of ginger and black pepper heat on the palate, this is the whiskey for you.Nice nose with oak, still subtle hints of corn, vanilla, and cinnamon. Taste is rye spice with burnt sugar, some tobacco, and more rye. Medium finish where the cinnamon and rye in the mash bill come through again.
King of the Affordable Wheated Bourbons: Maker's Mark
Just like all bourbons, it is distilled primarily from corn, with some malted barley thrown into the mix. However, this whiskey comes with a twist that helps define its signature taste, opting for red winter wheat in the mashbill rather than the more common rye.
